M81/82 + Galactic Cirrus (IFN)

Details

M81 and 82 are among the best-known galaxies in the night sky, as they are very beginner-friendly! They are quite large and bright and therefore very suitable for visual observations and photography. A special feature of this region is the so-called galactic cirrus, also known as IFN, which spreads around the galaxies like a veil. With plenty of exposure time and a dark sky, this can be made visible.
