35mm Milky Way Panorama above the clouds

Details

The Canary Islands, including La Palma, are known for the fact that you can simply drive above the clouds to take photos. The trade wind clouds are usually at around 800-1000 meters (sometimes even higher). So you can simply drive up to the Roque de los Muchachos mountain, which is over 2000 meters high, to enjoy the starry sky! Other clouds at higher altitudes are also possible but quite rare. You can assume (also from personal experience) that you will almost always have clear skies at the top. With the exception of sandstorms, also known as calima, or when the clouds do get high enough...

In this picture you can see how these clouds fill the valley and give a nice effect in the picture!
